When I got off work the same thing happened about 25 mins into my drive. The blinking D light disappered for 3 weeks, but came back yesterday. So I went to the dealer today and got the code (P1740) which my earlier attempts (Honda friend and AAMCO) didn't produce. So for $105 the dealer diagnosed the problem as a faulty 4th gear switch, just like all the forum members suggested.
